Journal Highlight : Tumor Microenvironment
The journal welcomes scholarly contributions related to the cellular, molecular, immunological, and biochemical environment surrounding tumors and its role in cancer development, progression, metastasis, and therapeutic response. This section focuses on research that advances the understanding of tumor–host interactions and supports the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies targeting the tumor microenvironment.
The journal encourages submissions in areas including Tumor Biology, Cancer Cell-Microenvironment Interactions, Tumor Immunology, Cancer Stromal Cells, Extracellular Matrix Remodeling, Tumor Angiogenesis, Hypoxia in Cancer, Inflammation and Cancer Progression, Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts, and Immune Cell Dynamics in Tumors. Research related to Tumor Heterogeneity, Metastatic Microenvironment, Cytokine and Chemokine Signaling, Cancer Metabolism, Exosomes and Extracellular Vesicles, and Molecular Signaling Pathways in Tumor Progression is also welcomed.
Submissions focusing on Tumor Microenvironment-Targeted Therapies, Immuno-Oncology, Therapeutic Resistance Mechanisms, Biomarker Discovery, Precision Oncology, Translational Cancer Research, AI and Bioinformatics in Tumor Biology, and Preclinical and Clinical Models of Tumor Microenvironment Studies are encouraged. The journal also welcomes studies investigating the influence of the tumor microenvironment on treatment response, immune evasion, cancer recurrence, and disease progression across different cancer types.
Accepted manuscript types include Original Research Articles, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Experimental Studies, Translational Research Articles, Clinical Correlation Studies, Case Reports, and Technology and Methodology Articles that contribute to advancements in tumor microenvironment research and oncology science.
Through this focus area, the journal aims to support research that deepens the understanding of tumor microenvironment biology, advances targeted and immune-based cancer therapies, improves diagnostic and prognostic approaches, and contributes to innovative and evidence-based oncology practices worldwide.
